Dr. John Lechleiter, the former president and CEO of Eli Lilly and Company<\/a>, steered the company through significant change and economic adversity during his eight-year tenure. Alongside his corporate leadership, he actively engages in various community and healthcare initiatives, co-chairing the Indiana Mental Health Roundtable <\/a>and contributing to numerous advisory councils and boards, including those of Marian University<\/a>, IUPUI School of Science<\/a>, and the Children\u2019s Museum of Indianapolis<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Recognized for his service, Dr. Lechleiter, alongside his wife Sarah, received the Charles L. Whistler Award in 2016 for their commitment to the Indianapolis community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “I think the greatest peril is not keeping in mind the long-term, the reason why you exist.
